Coaching

Helping you think good, feel good and do good.

I specialise in coaching people who do good, or those who want to do good.

Typically, you’ll work in a charity, social enterprise or in the public sector.  Or maybe you’re using your skills in your spare time as a volunteer, trustee or community leader.

Ssh… *whispers* maybe you’re a secret superhero?  You don’t fit into any of those groups, but you’re hatching an awesome plan to help others and you need help to make it happen.

Maybe you’re already helping others informally, as a carer or a friend, or maybe you’ve reached a point where it’s time to make some positive changes in your own life?

Maybe some of this sounds familiar?

  • You’ve put your own needs, hopes and dreams on hold because you’re busy helping everyone else fulfil theirs.
  • You’re keen to help others, but you find it hard to say no, so you take on far too much.
  • You’re under pressure, stressed or burnt out and you’re not sure how to get back on track.
  • You’re great at looking out for the health and wellbeing of others, but not so good at looking out for your own.
  • You don’t feel like you’re fulfilling your potential or using your skills and qualities.
  • You recognise that you need to sprinkle a little more life into your work/life balance.
  • You’re not sure why you do what you do, but you’re not sure what to do about it.

So how does coaching help?

Changing your thinking, or thinking good as I like to call it, is a game-changer.  It can help us improve our work, our relationships, rebalance work and life, set goals and chase dreams.

I’m not a rainbows and unicorns kind of coach.  I practice psychology-based coaching using tools and techniques based on human behaviour and how our brains actually work.

Together, we can unpick the challenges that are getting in the way of your progress and identify practical steps that will enable you to make lasting, positive changes.

I’m not a coach who simply talks the the talk; I’ve walked the walk.  My coaching is completely rooted in the realities you’re faced with when trying to think good, feel good and do good.

How it works and what to do next.

To help you get started, I offer a free strategy session where we can talk about where you are, where you want to be and how coaching can help get you there.  You can book one below.

Some people arrange coaching with me directly, some people arrange it through their work and I also work with organisations who ask me to coach their teams or the people they help.

If you already know that coaching can help and you’re keen to get started, you can book a single session or a coaching package now using my simple, secure online booking system.

Then, all you need to do is put the kettle on, grab a notebook and start thinking good!

Interested?  Let’s talk.

Book a free, 30 minute call and let’s have a chat about where you are, where you want to be and how we can work together to get you there.

Steve tells you what you need to hear, even if it's not always what you want to hear!  He's supported me through some major changes at work and increased my confidence in my own abilities as a leader.

I love working with Steve!  He’s full of great ideas and they are usually outside of the box and make you stop and think.  Just what you need from a coach; but when you also need quiet time for reflection and somebody that ‘gets it’, Steve does this too.  The VCSE sector has its specific challenges and it is invaluable to work with someone that has walked the walk himself.

Sally Connick

Head of Community & Voluntary Action, Community Action Suffolk

I was feeling unsure how to proceed to make my idea a reality, it all seemed overwhelming.  Steve talked me through it step by step and what was once an idea for bringing the community together became possible!  Without Steve it would still be an idea and something I never thought I'd be able to achieve.
