I undertake research which helps charities and social enterprises evidence impact, understand their clients needs and develop new opportunities or ideas. From desk research to large-scale projects engaging stakeholders, examples include:
• Interviewing students in North Wales to support a case study for Amnesty International about their school speakers programme for its funder, the People’s Postcode Lottery.
• Researching and developing an outline countywide model for offering free legal advice in GP surgeries for Suffolk Law Centre and Citizens Advice, which led to my clients securing significant funding from the Clinical Commissioning Group to launch a successful pilot project.
• Writing case studies about UK social enterprises led by and for disabled people on behalf of School for Social Entrepreneurs Australia to support their partnership with the National Disability Insurance Scheme, the Australian government’s new personalised support programme.
• Researching and writing the first known report on UK social enterprise exports for British Council and Social Enterprise UK, which successfully engaged over 100 social enterprises offering goods and services outside of the UK.
